Paris “fashion week”

Hi guys , hope that you are all having a good week! I assume you were following my Paris days on Instagram. πŸ€—

First, I went there with David and the main reason to go to Paris was to have a little break together as we love Paris so much! It also happened to be the fashion week, which was great fun for me, although the same can’t be said for David πŸ˜‚!

Anyway, although I haven’t attended any shows, there were so many activities around the city and everywhere you turned was full of different looks.

I was lucky to visit all my favourite spots including Hotel Costes where the real fashion happensπŸ™ˆ! Costes’ clientele is always amazingly fashion conscious. During the fashion week, however, all you see are celebrities and beautiful outfits walking around. Plus there was a Valentino and Hotel Costes collaboration and again we were so lucky to be there at the opening. They have created a beautiful Valentino spike bag for the occasion in pink velvet. I loved it so much but yet again ended up with a new diorama instead. πŸ™ˆ

There are cliches to do in Paris such as lunching at Hotel Costes or L’Avenue. Having coffee at Cafe De Flores, tea time at the Ritz , visiting Colette and Galleries Lafayette, walking around Avenue Montaigne, going to Rue Cambon….. been there done that! All fun and nice, but during fashion week everywhere is extremely busy busy busy! So you can neither shop or eat in peace.

Anyway the biggest reason for us to visit Paris was that I had some tickets for the Dior exhibition at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs and I wanted to go and see it since it opened. It was nicely curated and you can really get the sense of the brand culture. There can be a little wait as demand is high, but it’s all worth it in the end!

It was a nice little break, but at the same time I carried some work to holiday as well ! πŸ™ˆ I was taking over Fashion Eyewear’s instagram account for 48h in Paris! It was a great fun and hopefully you all saved some money and got a good pair of sunglasses with the discount code SARAHD25. If you haven’t done it yet, there is still time until Monday. I personally love their Dior collection and you can almost find any model you want.

FashioneyewearI want to mention something really bothering me about the whole fashion week parade.. as all of you, I have been following my favourite fashion houses’ new collections and shows online and from social media too. I have my favourite bloggers sharing their show experience etc. Seeing the same blogger, however, wondering around in 3 different outfits from one show to another without making any effort with what to wear is really so tedious..

I have to say even my favourite fashion house Dior is playing the same game. Letting celebrities and bloggers borrow head to toe outfits and they all look like they are out of the catwalk. I personally prefer to see the clothes with more personality, I would be really interested to see how they would wear the pieces in their own fashion sense and style, rather than some brand just sending the outfit as a package.

On that note, I really love what Sincerely Jules’ Julie Sarinana wore for the Chloe show, it was a Maje suit with Chloe accessories and it was totally her style, looked amazingly beautiful and genuine. She is always adorable and down to earth( @sincerlyjules ). On the other hand, there are other bloggers just wearing the uniforms of each brand from one show to another. Wouldn’t it be so much more fun to follow the fashion week if they are more real and free to express their fashion sense? Let me know your thoughts.😚
